Parktacular Street Dance on the Town Green, sponsored by Park Tavern, featuring The Tim Mahoney Band and a beer garden
June 13, Excelsior & Grand Towne Green: Gates open at 5 pm
Fee: $5 or FREE with Parktacular button (on sale at the gate for $5) Because last year was so successful, we are bringing back The Tim Mahoney Band to entertain you as you listen and dance to his light rock music from 7 - 10 pm. This outdoor concert is sponsored by Park Tavern, who will be selling adult beverages to those 21 and older, and food/beverages for all ages. The opening act will be Consolation Champ's front man John Richards, who will perform from 5:30-6:45 p.m. Free parking is available in the Excelsior & Grand ramps and at The Rec Center. Arrive early to catch a great show and avoid the lines.

SLP American Legion Sand Volleyball Tournament
Saturday, June 14, Wolfe Park: 8 am - 8 pm
Sign-up for the first ever Parktacular Sand court Volleyball Tournament. This adult's only (18 or older) co-ed tournament will start at 8:00 a.m. rain or shine. The first six teams registered will do pool play in the afternoon and then play-offs. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place. Each team will play at least three games.
Teams must be co-ed and have a minimum of six names, maximum of 10 names on the roster. At least two women must be on the court at all times. The tournament will be played using USVA rules. Officiating will be Club SLP Volleyball and St. Louis Park High School coaches.
Interested in a full day of action packed volleyball? Complete the registration and submit full payment ($120) by Friday, May 23.
Pedal for People Bike Ride
Saturday, June 14, Wolfe Park: 9 am
Come join us for a family-paced 12-mile bike ride that travels on paved city and county trails. Great for all ages! The event staging will be at the Veterans' Memorial Amphitheater in Wolfe Park while the start and finish will be on the trail system. This program is sponsored by the St. Louis Park Sunrise Rotary. Registrants will receive a T-shirt and goodie bag. All proceeds will go to the SLP Sunrise Rotary Foundation. Ride begins at 9 a.m. promptly in Wolfe Park. Register now!

And you won't want to miss the Pedestrian/Bicycle Bridge Grand Opening Ceremony. Whether or not you are a bike rider, come join us and SLP dignitaries for the grand opening of the new pedestrian/bicycle bridge over Highway 7 near Belt Line Boulevard. The ceremony will take place on the northern side of the bridge located in Carpenter Park. Enjoy a public dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony. Saturday, June 14, 9:15 a.m.
Taste of St. Louis Park Food Sales

New Event! You are invited to participate in Parktacular's TASTE OF ST. LOUIS PARK. Parktacular will provide a large canopy near the Rec Center entrance and food vendors can set up their food sales areas under the canopy. Food vendors may sell their food items for a reasonable price and keep the proceeds. People will be coming to Parktacular very hungry and thirsty, so let's make this new event the tastiest place to be!
Come and enjoy delicious food from restaurants like Qdoba, Hometown Creamery, and the SLP Lion's Club.

Kids Eco Fair at Parktacular
Saturday, June 14, Wolfe Park: 2 6 pm This year's Kids Eco Fair has many new and exciting activities, as well as a new location. Look for the Eco Fair at the north end of Wolfe Park near the pool. The Eco Fair will include the Planatarium's Exploradome, reptiles and pond critters, pot-a-plant sponsored by Home Depot, Abrakadoodle paint-a-pot, the Green Guardian Knight, and for the very brave among us, a 25' climbing wall sponsored by Hoigaard's that will challenge and thrill you.
Kids Fest

Kids Fest, sponsored by Lupient, has tons of exciting activities for kids of all ages! Lupient will have a brand new Chevrolet Suburban for you to fingerpaint, a balloon twister, and a caricaturist. Also, there's the Fantasy Corral Petting Zoo sponsored by SLP Noontime Rotary, strolling cartoon characters, FREE Qwest Child ID kits, magician, raptor birds, Police and Fire Departments, face painters, tattoos, dunk tank, water slip ' n slide (you must have your swinsuit on for this), and more!
Cars of History

Take a step back in time and remember when the world changed with the invention of the car. Come see some of the cars that brought this new 4 wheeled mode of transportation to us at the Parktacular Cars Of History event in Wolfe Park Kids Fest area.

Parktacular Miniature Art Treasure Hunt
Local artist William Hessian is again teaming up with Parktacular for the 2nd annual "Splash Into Summer" Miniature Art Treasure Hunt. Gather your friends and family and dive into this adventure to prowl for these ten paintings. They will be hidden in any of our beautiful SLP parks. The hunt begins May 29th. Check for clues in the Sun Newspaper, or on William's website www.willliamhessian.com/projects/slp.html. Rule: Each person/family may only find and take one painting each, although it is encouraged that you look for them all. Once you have found one, please leave any further paintings you find for other hunters on the prowl. Thanks. Prizes will be awarded to the "finders" on Saturday, June 14, at 5 pm, at the Amphitheater in Wolfe Park.

Saturday Night Concert
Saturday, June 14, Wolfe Park, Veteran's Memorial Amphitheater, 7 - 10 pm Want to have a movin' and grovin' time? Then you won't want to miss this fabulous concert by the Whitesidewalls. Sponsored by Park Nicollet Health Services, this band will have you up and bouncing to their high-energy rock 'n roll music. They promise to give us a very memorable evening of entertainment with lovable tunes from the 1950's and 1960's. This talented group of Minneapolis musicians will definitely be a hit with all!
Community Faith Service
