It takes a community to make a community celebration! There are many exciting ways for both you and your business to become a part of Parktacular. Please consider any of the opportunities below, or Sponsorship.

Businesses

Many Parktacular events are designed to include and promote the community businesses and organizations we all rely on. Your participation in these events is essential to the success of Parktacular. Show your support for our community and promote yourself by participating in one of the following events. A file to download for more information and applications is included with each.

Individuals

Volunteering to help at Parktacular is a great way to give back to your community and get in on the fun!

Volunteers are needed to help at the 2007 Parktacular Celebration in the following areas:

Location of all activities: Wolfe Park area
Dates: June 12-15, 2008
Times and duties:

Help staff the fabulous Street Dance on the Town Green featuring the Tim Mahoney Band, Friday evening, June 13. Sell tickets and Parktacular buttons, staff the gates, or help with maintenance. Volunteers are needed for 3 hour shifts, from 4:30-7:30 pm- and 7:15 -10:30 pm Have fun at the dance and volunteer too!

Staff the Parktacular Information Booths: Saturday, June 14, 11:00 am-7:00 pm. Job duties include: greeting people, handing out Event Guides, selling Parktacular Buttons/Button Coupon Cards, selling wristbands for the Water/Carnival Games & Inflatables, and directing people to where they want to go. Shifts are 2 hours, you can volunteer with a friend or we will pair you with someone!

Parade Volunteers: Saturday, June 14, Assist with traffic control for the parade. Time commitment: 2 hours, 10:00-12:00 am or 12-2:00 pm. Directions will be provided.

Kid's Eco Fair: Saturday, June 14, 10:00 am -6:00 p.m. Help with a variety of events as well as set-up and take-down. Fishing Clinic (10:00 am – 12 noon), seed planting, paint a pot, and reptiles are just some of the activities. Volunteers are needed to assist staff with the event. Time commitment: 2-3 hour shifts, 12-3, or 3-6 (or you could help all day), either 10:00 am - 12 noon, 12 noon-3:00 pm or 3:00-6:00 pm (you can also help the entire time).

Volunteers ages 16 + are welcome! Sign up individually or sign up with a friend. Children ages 10 and older are welcome to volunteer with an adult. All volunteers will receive a free t-shirt and one free meal!
