Grand Day Parade

Parktacular is THRILLED to have musician, songwriter and local celebrity Tim Mahoney as the Grand Marshall of our Grand Day Parade. What began as a side career with huge aspirations while Mahoney was waiting tables has now blossomed into a full-fledged career of 15 years and counting! To date, he's sold over 100,000 units of his various releases between a solo career and his part as a member of The Blue Meenies. Mahoney continues to tour on the heels of his latest release, Live from the Sky and he also recently released a single that is a special Valentine's Day treat for fans. The single is a remake of Journey's "Faithfully," and the acoustic-guitar driven version is special even by Mahoney's standards. You may have seen Tim recently on NBCs new reality show "The Voice," but you will see him, we are very proud to say, as Grand Marshall of Parktacular's Grand Day Parade!

Check out the Parade route, find your favorite place to watch, bring your lawn chair or blanket, and get ready for extraordinary entertainment. And kids, there WILL be candy!!!!

Free parking is available around the St. Louis Park Rec Center, the Citizen's Bank Building parking lot, the Melrose Institute parking lot, and in the public lots at Excelsior and Grand. Parade is held rain or shine.

Parade convertibles are needed to transport visiting ambassadors and dignitaries. Volunteer to drive your convertible in the parade. Visit Participate for details.
