Grand Day Parade
Saturday, June 19, Noon - 2 PM
Exciting New Parade Unit to Lead the Parade!
Seven members of the Minneapolis area Wild Prairie Harley Owners Group made their shared dream become a reality. They built the New Glory Flag Bike, and are now known as the New Glory Flag Bike Team. The Team constructed the bike to honor our troops, serve as a reminder for citizen's to take pride in America and our values America stands willing to defend. The New Glory Flag Bike Team includes Escorts Tom Ask, Bill Fischer, John Garley, Duane Meyer, Dave Neitzel, Boyd Uppman and the bike owner Chris Hawver.
Horses and doggies and clowns, Oh My!!! The Parktacular Parade is coming! Fun for every age, this is an event that you don't want to miss. Check out the Parade route, find your favorite place to watch, bring your lawn chair or blanket, and get ready for extraordinary entertainment. And kids, there WILL be candy!!!!
Free parking is available around the St. Louis Park Rec Center, the Citizen's Bank Building parking lot, the Melrose Institute parking lot, and in the public lots at Excelsior and Grand. Parade is held rain or shine.
Parade convertibles are needed to transport visiting ambassadors and dignitaries. Volunteer to drive your convertible in the parade. Visit Participate for details.

Parktacular is excited to have Susie Jones from WCCO Radio as Grand Marshall. Susie Jones has been a Media Broadcast professional since the late 1980's. She has served in radio and TV broadcast positions in Madison, Janesville, LaCrosse, and more. She holds a Speech Communications Degree from the University of Minnesota. In 1996 she joined WCCO Radio as a news reporter where she continues to work today.
Susie works as an "on the scene" news reporter for The Award Winning WCCO Radio News Team bringing you up close to the day's biggest breaking news stories. Susie lives with her two children in St. Louis Park!
